Surface Printed Pouches
Surface Printing is simply when you print onto the surface of the outer film.
Benefits:
It's the cheapest form of printing but still looks great
You can print on any colour film
Negative:
If rubbed very hard the print will scratch - not likely in normal applications
Reverse Printed Pouches
Reverse Printing is when one of the inner layers of film is printed and this is sealed into the finished film.
Benefit:
Allows you to get the highest quality finish that is bomb proof...
Negative:
More expensive than surface printing
Textured Pouches
Textured Pouches are pouches with a texture moulded/embossed into its surface. The texture is added during the production process and covers the film that isn't welded.
Benefit:
Gives you a pouch that looks different to the vast majority of other pouches but without the cost of buying printing plates.
Negative:
Can be harder to seal if your sealers can't apply enough pressure.
